CMM Enclosures

Trac Measurement Systems offer Enclosures to protect your CMM from the elements in a busy Shop-Floor environment. The Enclosure is designed to fit closely to the CMM, thereby maintaining the smallest footprint. The basic system includes a positive air pressure to minimize the chance of any any air-born particles from contacting the CMM during component loading/unloading. Also included is an internal lighting system that will ensure the user can observe the measurement process and also to highlight the Enclosure as a "Centre of Excellence" on the Shop-floor.

Components are loaded through a counterbalanced vertical door at the front, this can be designed to suit any specific requirement. It is important to also consider access to any pneumatic equipment for the changing of any filters or venting any drain valves. Any electrical cables, running from the CMM, Controller and PC, may require consideration. We can also include access panels for removal when servicing the CMM, these panels can be easily removed and we supply handles to assist this operation. We can offer a site survey to ensure the solution will satisfy all aspects of the CMM operation.

Air Conditioning

Air-Conditioning is offered as an option, this increases the overall Enclosure Height by approximately 500mm. The temperature can normally be controlled within +/- 2°C in the majority of UK factory environments.

Installation

The enclosures are installed by Trac's trained service engineers, they can be secured to the floor using rawlbolts if required, this is normally the customer's decision.
